Further Cubit® showroom has the potential of a concept store
In Frankfurt am Main, Cubit head designer Olaf Schroeder personally presents the modular furniture.
Just a short walk from the trade fair center and central station, Mymito GmbH in the up-and-coming Gallus Quarter is establishing its third showroom for the furniture label Cubit®. After Düsseldorf and Munich, Frankfurt is playing host to product designer Olaf Schroeder from September 2015, where he is transforming part of his studio into the Cubit showroom. And really: passers-by will discover the shelf and sofa arrangements through a large shop window. “Naturally, I rearrange the elements regularly,” reports Olaf Schroeder, creator of the sofa, and considers: “Perhaps this change encourages people on their way to work to view projects from a different perspective. Cubit promotes flexibility and creativity.”
Changing perspective with modular furniture
Admittedly, measuring around 40 square meters, this exhibition space is not big, but the outstanding quality of the modular furniture is shown off particularly well here; the space is used optimally. The shelving system works elegantly in corners or surrounds doors in a chic way. The sofa, with its purist design, always looks light and gives structure even to small rooms in an unobtrusive way. It is clearly demonstrated here that beautiful living also works in small spaces.
Experience shelves and sofas in their full dimensions
Both shelves and sofas are shown completely here in the metropolis on the Main. All elements are here: from dainty shelf modules for CDs through to those for large art books; from narrow stools to armchairs with deep seats. The visitors can try out the clever connecting system in each case. Shelf modules can be assembled and disassembled in no time. The sofa cover is fastened with Velcro fastenings and can thus be removed. Even Olaf Schroeder is constantly astounded by how many possibilities are offered by the modular furniture from Cubit®: “Our customers often have the very best ideas!”
Cubit is designer furniture for home and business
As from Autumn, the hands-on furniture exhibition will transform itself into a small concept store. The bag collection by “dothebag”, children’s furniture that grows with the child by “pure position”, and high-quality designer accessories with a clean design will then be found here. In a subtle way, it is clear that the shelving system from Cubit® thus meets all requirements when it comes to flexible shop design. A visit to the Cubit showroom opposite Frankfurt’s newly created Skyline Plaza is definitely worthwhile for design fans.
