CD shelves

A shelf just for my music? Sounds good, doesn’t it? Cubit® makes it possible with CD modules into which CDs fit perfectly. The width varies, just like the color and veneer.
The CD modules can be arranged in a regular or offset way – depending on your taste.

Like all Cubit shelves, the modules are connected with the clever connecting system. And there are even more benefits…

Get to know shelves with a sample model

At Cubit, we like to make things easy for you, which is how we came to develop the sample package. It allows you to discover the materials, colors, quality, functions and – naturally – the design of our modular shelving system at your leisure.

How does the connection method work? What is it that makes the shelf a perfect fit? The modular shelf accommodates your requirements. And you can see here just how it does that:

Design the shelf realistically

Using the configurator, you can combine 34 modules and a variety of colors to create your very own personal shelf. Here's a useful tip: Information about the room size and environment is a great help during the design process.

Daniel and Charlotte, both musicians from Vienna, discussing their CD shelves

“We really do notice everything, right down to the smallest of details – which is why CD shelves from Cubit are our products of choice”

When a fellow orchestra player told musicians Daniel and Charlotte about the CD shelf she bought, she sure had the rapt attention of her audience. “From what we were told, the piece of furniture is actually a system and completely modular,” remembers Daniel. Charlotte then goes on to add: “For years we’d been wanting to buy a CD shelf that’s as unique as it is practical. We just didn't want a standard solution.” Their music collection is now perfectly arranged thanks to the practical advice they were given by their helpful colleague. And that collection certainly isn’t small – not by any means. Every now and again, the pianist and soprano like to look into how their idols have interpreted a particular composition. The CD shelf now even goes with their high-tech stereo equipment.

Buying a CD shelf? With Cubit, the process really is a doddle.

The two musicians designed their CD shelf with extreme ease using their computer. Since their apartment, which is situated in an old block, is painted completely in white, they opted for brilliantly bright and cheerful colors. The two classical music specialists were sold on the shelf in a surprisingly short space of time. They added an elegant touch or two to their CD shelf with modules featuring an oak finish, as evidenced by the entry they submitted to the “Shelf of the Month” competition, which Cubit has been running for the last two years. The public use the Facebook “Like” button to vote for the customer shelf they like best. So far, the jury hasn’t nominated Daniel and Charlotte’s creation for the competition. But you never know what’s around the corner. So, if you’re in the market for a CD shelf, this is the perfect place to find plenty of interesting inspiration.

The principle – as showcased by the sample package

The sample package allowed the couple to experience exactly how the modular shelving system from Cubit works. Once they’d been convinced by the connector mechanism, they designed and ordered their personal CD shelf in their favorite colors. Practical clamps are also used in this particular solution. Daniel and Charlotte have hung some modules up on the wall as individual elements. As soloists, if you like. And that’s where they’re storing pieces by their favorite composers.
