A life without books? For Florence, it doesn’t bear thinking about. Just like thousands of other Londoners, each day the highly-qualified physiotherapist commutes from her apartment in the east of the city to her workplace, a private clinic in the center. She escapes the steady stream of fellow travelers by immersing herself in exciting crime thrillers and captivating novels. Even when she’s browsing her book shelf in the morning to find the right book, she already starts tingling with anticipation. “Buying a book shelf was a real challenge. Like most homes in London, the new builds at the former olympic village of London 2012 are relatively small. So avid readers have to be smart when it comes to planning. Using the Cubit shelving system for books, I was able to make perfect use of the limited space,” explains resourceful Florence.

She picked cool colors for her design: a book shelf in white, black, red and gray. Oak and walnut finishes give the shelf a warm look. Florence also ordered modules with drawers at the same time. This is were she keeps important items like tickets, keys, her umbrella and a pair of sunglasses. “Sunglasses?” we hear you say. Yes, they do come in handy from time to time, even in London! Her friends have also taken a shine to the system for books too. Thanks to the Cubit shop, they can easily design and order a shelf that’s unique to them.
