Kristina from the Eifel region discussing shelves for sloping walls and underneath the stairs

“Cubit creates a natural harmony.”

Landscape architect Kristina made her dream come true when she moved into her small farm house in the picturesque Eifel countryside. After years of living in the hustling and bustling city of Cologne, she was craving the peace and quiet of nature. It was only natural that she wanted to move her furniture into her enchanting wooden house. But that didn’t really work out. She turned the attic into an office with a panorama window. The view may well be fantastic, but the room is ver influenced by its sloping walls. There was no space for her old office furniture here. Thankfully, Kristina discovered Cubit  shelves for sloping walls. “The modules really do fit every angle. It depends on whether you position the elements horizontally or vertically. But all in all, they create a fantastic effect!” smiles Kristina, even after all this time.

A Cubit shelf for sloping walls adapts to almost any angle

Designing her sloping wall shelf was a doddle using the configurator. She was not only able to input the dimensions of the elements, but also to play around with the colors too. She finally opted for brash tones like red and pink, which contrast well with the surrounding landscape. It’s kind of similar to the way the simple element design playfully interacts with the historic style of the farm house. Just goes to show – it’s not necessarily “out with the old and in with the new” when coming up with fresh ideas…

A good idea from top to bottom: shelves for sloping walls and under stairs

Kristina used the exact same system to fill the empty space beneath the stairs to her basement. The Cubit shelf is the perfect fit here too. The landscape architect stores everything here – from measuring instruments to rubber boots. Thanks to the staircase shelf from Cubit , this old farm house is being perfectly equipped for modern times.
