Moritz and Henriette from Berlin talking about shelf units
“They’re a perfect match – just like us.”
Wow – seriously – you’ve got one too? Moritz was standing there in Henriette’s student digs completely dumbstruck. He simply couldn’t believe his eyes, he tells us at Café Einstein, situated on Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin’s Mitte district. Nope, his eyes weren’t deceiving him. Right there in front of him was a Cubit shelf unit. Just when he thought he was the only one with unmistakably good taste… But that was a thing of the past now. The pair had arranged to meet for a study session, since their first State examination in medicine was just around the corner. Unruffled, Henriette pulled one standard reference after the other out from her book shelf and eagerly searched for relevant cases. But Moritz’s mind had already wandered off track. It was at precisely that moment that he fell in love with Henriette.
Cubit shelf units combine a great many passions and preferences: reading, listening to music, collecting – the list goes on.
“I was a bit slow on the uptake, to be fair. It was almost as if I had a box over my head. Not one of Cubit’s, though!” says Henriette laughingly. It took her a while to work out what was up with him. In the end, they both passed their examinations just fine and have since moved in together. But the two young lovers were faced with a fairly lengthy search after having lived in chic Charlottenburg. They wanted to apply the exact same approach to flat-hunting as they do to furniture. All they were doing was looking for the very best. “When I moved out of my parents’ home, one piece of advice they gave me was to buy a high-quality shelf unit straight away. And they were even good enough to give me a bit of money for one too. We discovered Cubit together and were quickly won over by the value-for-money aspect.”
Buying a shelf unit that’ll last a lifetime: Cubit
Junior doctors Moritz and Henriette are now slowly furnishing their home together. The shelf unit was designed from their existing modules, and they’re gradually adding new elements too. Our tip: It might be worthwhile adding a few child-friendly elements to this shelf unit too for when the little ones come along…
